FUSION FITNESS FOR BODY, MIND, SOUL!

Nia is an exhilarating movement and lifestyle practice that fuses the freedom of dance, with the ‘pow’ of martial arts energy, and the mindfulness of somatics… the exciting, aerobic "cousin of yoga" with its felt-sense awareness.

DANCING THRU LIFE INTO FREEDOM!

Nia is a practice like yoga ~ a way to feel empowered, flexible, sensual, strong and youthful, no matter what age.

With Nia your body develops liberation, new fitness circuitry, energy and physical balance,

gently transforming the cellular memory of emotional and mental blocks that had become a part of you,

dancing between the physical world and the world of energy.

Nia's world-wide classes are taught simultaneously at 3 levels of intensity, so that individuals can weave in and out in each move, choosing pleasure over pain by listening to sensation. As a certified black belt instructor, I am trained to guide you and share options to support you, whether you’re just getting started or you are an experienced mover.

When possible, I offer classes in:

  • Gibsons, BC, Canada: - spring, summer and fall; 10am Saturdays & Tuesdays; Dougall Park, 516 Gower Pt. Rd; rain or shine we dance under the gazebo; in bad weather we move into the Kinsmen Hall. $20 drop-in; 4x card $55; 8x card $100 (no time limit). CHECK FB: Nia with Dhyana
